1 woman, 179 days, 22 countries.

Oh, the planning! First there was the itinerary. It’s a loose one, but I want to have a good idea of where I should be at what time, rather than just wandering aimlessly (not that there’s anything wrong with that!) I’m still fiddling with it, and thought it was done last month. Now I feel I can 100% say that it is really done. Yeah, right… best laid plans, right?
Next it was the Eurail pass. There are so many options with this thing, it’s not just a matter of 1, 2 or 3 months. There’s the 1 country pass, the 3-5 select country pass, the regional pass, the flexi pass and a certain number of travel days in a month. Mind boggling! So, I’ve decided to do a 3 month unlimited pass, then an additional 1 month unlimited. After that I’ll be in Turkey for 2 weeks, and the Eurail pass doesn’t apply to Turkey (unless you get the Balkan pass, just to make things even more confusing), so I’ll just buy train tickets there as I need them. Then I’ll be in Greece for a glorious 3 weeks, and I’ll be island hopping so a Eurail pass isn’t needed. This might change by next week, but for now it’s the plan!
