Customized Heritage Collage

I’ve been making these heritage collages for friends and family for a few years now, and am now offering custom work to my wonderful customers!

Detail from “A Good Day for Dreaming.”

1. A background paper such as a letter, sheet music, a book page or something similar.

2. A few family photographs that I can choose from to make a nice composition. One of the photos could be used as an image transfer (like you see below-you can see the text from the book page in behind the people) and one could be superimposed on the finished product.

3. Your input on what sort of pretty papers, lace or buttons can be used to embellish it. It’s also fun to look through some large text books I have for words or phrases that have some meaning.  (See below “A good day for dreaming.”) We can sit down and look at my papers and embellishments and make decisions together.

The prices include consultation, colour copies, papers, embellishments and a canvas. If you need it shipped I can do that but there will be an extra cost incurred.

4×6 $80.00

5×7 $90.00

6×8 $100.00

8×10 $120.00

A Good Day for Dreaming. My ancestors in Alberta, Canada.

This 8×10 collage is of my Alberta relatives from the early 1900’s. They were from the Ukraine and recent immigrants to Canada. Black and White Photos have an incredible impact with these collages.

Her Hair was Jet Black. This is my mom.

This one is a 5×7 canvas and the image is of my mom when she was a little girl in Edmonton, Alberta. She DOES in fact have jet black hair!
